Course Aim and Objectives:

This training session will enable you to move and handle inanimate loads safely, reducing the risk of injury.

Learners successfully completing this training will gain understanding on the correct techniques for lifting and handling.

Key Topics covered in this training include:

Basic risk assessing using E.L.I.T.E safe principles, roles and responsibilities when moving. Lifting and handling techniques, spine and back care, Manual handling legislation.

Assessment & Certification

This course is assessed by way of a practical observation and a short multiple-choice assessment.  Learners who successfully pass the assessment will receive a certificate accredited by the All Wales Passport Scheme.

Suitable for:

Anyone wanting to begin a career in the care sector or requiring a refresher on manual handling inanimate loads.
