Course Aim and Objectives:
This training session will provide you with an understanding of the Social Care Wales Code of Professional Practice and the standards of care expected for working in Social Care.
Learners successfully completing this training will understand the attitude and values required when caring for older people.
Key Topics covered in this training include:
The benefits of a person-centred approach to care, recognising how easily abuse occurs in social care work, understanding how good communication and the right approach can bring dignity and compassion into care, the importance of recording, reporting and confidentiality.
